Am I a Good Candidate for All-on-4?
Yes, if you meet most of the following qualifications:
All-on-4 is a good option for patients who have missing or badly damaged teeth in their upper or lower jaws. If you are only missing one tooth or a few teeth in one area, another type of restoration such as a bridge may be a better option.
Besides missing most of their teeth, patients should have otherwise healthy gums and teeth. If you have gum disease or decayed teeth that need to be extracted, Dr. Mamah can provide the care you need to rehabilitate your smile.
In order to safely undergo dental surgery, you will need to be in good health. Dr. Mamah will screen you for any medical conditions or medications that could increase the risk of complications. We also recommend that you quit smoking, as it can interfere with healing.
Most patients can undergo All-on-4 treatment without prior bone grafting. However, if you have suffered extensive jawbone recession and cannot properly support the four implant posts, bone grafting can restore your jawbone to the proper density.

Dr. Mamah administers this calming gas, also called laughing gas, through a mask. You'll be awake but very relaxed and comfortable during your procedure. The gas wears off quickly and you can drive yourself home.
Oral Sedation
Dr. Mamah can prescribe calming sedative pills to take before you come in for your procedure. You'll be drowsy so someone will need to drive you to and from our office.
IV Sedation
This strong sedation enters your bloodstream to help you sleep or be in a conscious "twilight state." You might not even remember the procedure. You will definitely need someone to drive you home.
