Smile Makeover
Do you have discolored, chipped, cracked, or misaligned teeth? You may be wondering how you can upgrade your smile.
Each patient's dental concerns are unique, and your treatment should be custom-made to reflect your individuality.
Designing Smiles in Hackensack, NJ, can develop a smile makeover plan that targets your concerns and complements your features.
Special Considerations Before Receiving a Smile Makeover
The primary objective for a smile makeover is aesthetic improvement. In order to undergo cosmetic treatments, patients must first be in good dental health. We can treat health issues such as extensive decay and periodontal disease before you can undergo a cosmetic procedure.
What Can a Smile Makeover Address?
Even if you enjoy excellent oral health, you may not be happy with certain aspects of your smile. Our cosmetic dentist can use your smile makeover plan to correct and conceal imperfections like:
- Asymmetry
- Chipped teeth
- Cracked teeth
- Crooked teeth
- Misshapen teeth
- Stained or discolored teeth
Dr. Mamah can help you determine which combination of cosmetic treatments will allow you to achieve the smile you desire.
Our Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments
Invisalign
For patients who wish to straighten their teeth discreetly, Invisalign® offers an aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional metal braces. Using a series of custom-made, clear aligner trays, the Invisalign system gradually moves teeth into their desired positions with gentle, constant pressure.
Porcelain Veneers
Crafted from high-quality dental porcelain, veneers can conceal flaws like deep dental stains, cover a chipped or misshapen tooth, and more. You can have one veneer placed or receive veneers for all of your visible teeth, depending on your smile goals. We work with a trusted lab based in the United States where dental artisans handcraft all our restorations.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are typically used to restore teeth that have become broken or decayed, but they can be used in cosmetic dentistry to conceal teeth that have deep dental stains. Dental crowns can also be supported by a dental implant to completely replace a single missing tooth. Dr. Mamah is trained in dental implant placement.
Before you commit to a procedure, Dr. Mamah may be able to create a wax-up model of your results so you can see how you would look after a smile makeover.
Feeling Anxious? Relax Throughout Your Visit
WITH SEDATION DENTISTRY
Many patients experience dental anxiety. Thankfully, advances in medicine allow us to offer sedation dentistry for your relaxation. At Designing Smiles, we value patient comfort and strive to deliver the most pleasant experience available. The two sedation options we offer are:
Nitrous oxide: Commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is safe and effective for patients of all ages. The mild sedative is delivered through a nose mask, which is worn throughout your procedure.
Oral sedation: Dr. Mamah can prescribe medication for you to take at home before you arrive at our office. You will remain conscious—albeit extremely relaxed—during your procedure, and you may even fall asleep.
We can accommodate a wide variety of needs at our offices. Dr. Mamah can help you determine which sedation option is best for you.
